MARSHALL, Shirley Anne (Lady Marshall). Aged 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday 23rd July, 2016, at Auckland Hospital supported by her family. Shirley was born on 24th June, 1933 in Napier to George and Gladys Lindsey. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Sir Harold Marshall, her brother Peter and sister-in-law June Lindsey and her sister Judith and brother-in-law Bryce Herbert. Loving mother of Simon, Paul, John and Lindsey and their respective wives, Garnet, Juanita, Karen and Meredith. Grandma to Sarah, David and his wife Hayley, Claire and her husband Peter, Eric, Lisa and her partner Pranay, Tim, Alexander, Andre, Leon, Joel, William, Beau, Carl, Evan, Theo and Zane, and Great Grandma to Charlotte. "Our beautiful Lady. Our story teller-history stories, your stories, the stories we made together. Each are jewels in our memories, and we hold them now as you held us, with love and tenderness and warmth. We love you Grandma". Her life will be celebrated at Mount Albert Methodist Church on Wednesday 27th July at 11am, followed by a private cremation. The family is exceedingly grateful for the exemplary care and support provided by the medical teams of Ward 31 at Auckland Hospital and at Mercy Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Shirley's name to the Mercy Hospice, College Hill, Auckland.
