I would love to have spent time with you Sheila in more recent years. To have explored with you the evolutionary spirituality you wrote about and to have thanked you in person for all the ways your writing gave me a deeper sense of the loving embrace of God. My parents knew you and many others spoke about you over the years when I was growing up, with great respect. Hilary Foged (née Johnston).

Thank you Sheila for your wonderful testimony and teaching me Spiritual Formation in 1992 at BCNZ. Your dedication to your students was exceptional. Deepest condolences to ypur Family and to Anthea as well.

Sheila you were an incredible person, so very kind and a good listener with a wonderful sense of humour and positive outlook. I loved your warm and welcoming approach to life and spirituality - you really took a genuine interest in others and what was going on in the world. You made an impact upon me, and undoubtedly upon many, many others with your openness, honesty and genuine caring and kindness towards all. Rest in peace now, with the knowledge that you are a shining example of a life well lived.

Sheila i knew you only from 1993, but it feels like a life time. Your love, support and belief in me hel0ed me choose an awesome path in life. Because of your teaching God became so muchmlm more, expansive, compassionate and real, i will be thankful forever and keep continuing bonds with you for eternity. Susannah Connolly.
