The 3 of you in pool

Shane and I shared a dive for paua off Matakaoa about 13 yrs ago.I came across a narrow deep cave loaded with a nest of legal paua.The surge keep throwing me about and when I re entered this dim dark spot,low & behold a hand belonging to Shane appeared from the opposite entrance and plucked those paua from under my nose!! Now I am 6'5" long and lanky with arms a metre long,how he managed to squeeze in there was a mystery? When we got our limit and hauled up on the dry he disappeared for ten minutes.Then re appeared with two fat buck Cray's in hand.Apparently he had spotted a vertical hole in the reef and bingo grabbed both of them with one breath.Jezz here I was the local and had never found a cray there let alone two!! Every time I have revisited this hole it's had a decent male cray and his harem of hens.The man had a nose for the hunt alright

Thinking of Shane, Di, Neville, partner and Paree . You will have so many lovely memories to help you get through this time. Brother and sister will be united up there in the sky. Much love Tui and Harry

He was a welcome sight for us at Snapper Rock when we walked in all those years ago.

Oh shane mate you will be sadly at Portland school. Angelo will miss you so much and so does kylah. You were a great teacher and principal we will all miss you. Love the Deane whanau
