I have wonderful memories, growing up, of get-togethers at Shane & Sharon's - all the kids collectively in play having fun while the adults partied. We are so sorry to hear of Shane's passing. He always had a beautiful smile for everyone, no matter how difficult things got. It came through his eyes too, straight from his lovely soul. Much love to his family, especially Sharon, they were devoted to each other and their love spilled over to anyone near. He could not have been cared for in a better place, now he can rest in peace, and he will never be far from you.

Shane, Mr. Dowsett - you were such a huge part of my growing up. I have so many wonderful memories and so much appreciation for all that you and Sharon did for me. The holidays at Ohope and Whangamatta, teaching me to drive in your Hi-Ace van and having a huge influence to my love of running and Rod Stewart. You had a big heart, and I will always cherish the memories. xoxo Cathy Bartlett
