Our sympathy to Dorothy and family. Sel was a good community-minded man and gave much to it. Included in this work was being chairman of the Goldfields Railway in Waihi in 2013 & 14.RIP Sel . Rob & Annette Bowater.

A man i have so much to be grateful for the opportunities that have opened up for me after completing a joinery apprenticeship with SG Baker in Waihi over 30 years ago it gave me valuable skills that have been used throughout my travels around the world.

Sorry to hear about Selwyn´s passing. I started my apprenticeship in 1966 as a carpenter/joiner. Selwyn was a wonderful boss and friend helping us with our first house. He set me up with my 50 year future in building.
