Selma MORCOM Obituary

MORCOM, Selma Elizabeth. Took her last breath surrounded by her family at home, a place she loved, on 14th April 2024; aged 50 years. Beloved wife of Graham, adored mother of Tom, Austin and Chloe, much-loved daughter of Margaret and Jim Dekker, and daughter-in-law of Ann and the late Keith Morcom. Treasured sister, sister-in-law, aunty, great- aunt, and friend to many. We love her, we miss her. A celebration of Selma's life will be held at the farm, 925 Purangi Road, Cooks Beach on Monday 22nd April at 12.00pm, followed by burial at Mercury Bay Cemetery.

Dear Graham, Tom, Austin and Chloe,
I am devastated to hear of Selma's passing. We met at primary school and she very quickly became my best friend. Despite our time together being short (as my family moved away), we kept in touch and used to record messages on tape to send to each other instead of writing letters. She was a wonderful person who I very much appreciated having in my life. Despite losing touch as we went our different ways through life, we reconnected through facebook and it was lovely to see how happy she was with her family and the life you were living together.
My deepest condolences to you all on the loss of such a special person.
