Sean KELLY Obituary

I have only just heard of Sean's passing. So sad and a shock to all. He employed me to do some work on designing modifications to his house and I often saw him for a quick chat around Zone 23 offices. My condolences to Liz and family. Wayne Houston

Very sorry to hear of Sean's passing. He conducted all my business and family legal work for the past 18 years.
He was an honest and ethical man. We had complete trust in him for all our dealings. He had a great sense of humour and was always interested in my family and business affairs.
I always chuckled at his invoices which quoted Auckland District Law Society rates but then a discounted rate from Sean Kelly lawyers.

There are so many good memories of fun times in Marcellin College days, 1st XV, the after-match parties and then, later on, the too infrequent dinners with you, Sean and the rest of our mates (and spouses) from the class of '73. My sincere condolences go to All the Kelly Family. Sooo sorry to hear the sad news about my First Cousin Sean who I met in Auckland, New Zealand whilst on my travels around the world and stayed with my Aunt Tess for a few weeks. She brought me up to Seans Office and then we all went to Gerrys house for Dinner. Lovely memories. My sympathies to Liz and family and Seans brothers Michael, Dermot and Aidin.

We are shocked and saddened to hear of Sean's passing. We were mates back in Auckland law school days and remained good friends afterwards. Lots of golf matches and pleasant times. Sean attended our wedding in 1982 and was a worthy colleague and valued friend. I learned the famous Irish saying "I wish you what you wish for your self" from Sean and used it often since. We met up from time to time even after we moved here to Brisbane and I always looked forward to seeing Sean again when we were in Auckland. Our sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy to Liz and the whole family. Rest easy old friend and thank you for all the unforgettable memories.

Liz and family, I was very sorry to hear about Sean's sudden passing. I have fond memories of my time many years ago visiting Aunt Tess and meeting Sean and the rest of the Kelly clan in person. I will light a candle at mass this Sunday for you all.

I first met Sean in law school when we started out as young freshmen in 1975. We found lots in common - primarily an attitude that life was to be enjoyed and not taken to seriously. We had a lot of fun in those years and stayed friends ever since. We all met in Pauanui in January on one of our "home visits". Jan and I are so glad that we did meet up with Sean, Liz and the boys then. I have very fond memories of a very pleasant lunch hosted by the ever gregarious Sean and his pal Liz. So it is great we have this very nice recent memory to help deal with sadness of this awful news. Sean will always remain my friend and to Liz and the family my most heartfelt condolences.
