Irene, Richard and family - our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. No doubt the passing of Fua has left a big gap in the family. But her wonderful legacy lives on with you, the grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Although it has been a long time since I last saw Fua, the fond memories will always live on. I remember how Fua used come and visit us in her famous VM. We fondly referred to the car as the `kudu motar“ (or pumpkin car because of the shape). Although we joked about the car, Fua was always so strong and independent. For a woman driving in Fiji at that time - she was a great role model for us.
All the cousins loved the apple custard from your garden. Whilst she always warned us not to touch it - Fua always shared the fruits with us. She was always kind and generous to all the nieces and nephews.
We got to spend some time together when Fua came to Fiji in 2004 for my wedding. I always remember her wonder smile and how she always spoke in such a gentle way. I will cherish those moments.
We will miss you Fua.
Lots of love
