I will always remember Mrs Stenson as someone who saw greatness and creativity in me as a Year 9 student at Epsom Girls. She encouraged me, joked with me, and helped me so much not just in my first year, but throughout my time at EGGS. What a loss for the world.

Sarah was a wonderful person, principal and mentor. She had an unwavering sense of social justice and wanted the best for all the young women of Kelston. She saw the good in her staff and worked hard to grow her people into leaders within the school and beyond. I will be forever grateful for the time Sarah put into supporting me throughout my career. My deepest condolences to Dave and Sarah's daughters who she spoke of often, I hope that through the sadness you are able to see how widely loved and respected Sarah was. Rest in peace

I had the pleasure of learning to know Sarah, first as my principal and then as my peer when I left KGC. Sarah's ability to grow and develop people was a sign of the leader she was. She had the knack of seeing people's strengths and encouraging them to achieve higher goals. I am forever grateful to her for the support she gave me at the most difficult time of my life. Sarah was a friend, a mentor and a support to so many of us. Thank you to her family for sharing her with all of us. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dave, It has been decades but friendship endures. So sorry to hear of your loss. I found this poem comforting after Ann died - from Kahlil Gibran: When you are sorrowful look into your heart, and you shall see that you are weeping for that which has been your delight. Grieve well. Lew

Dearest Dave, Lily and Bex. I am so sorry for your loss. Sarah was my rock through our 6 years of principalship. Her support and care meant the world to me and to those who were fortunate enough to work with her. What a formidable leader she was. She was always about attaining the best for her girls at school because they deserve the best. Sarah will always hold a special place in my heart.
Farewell my friend. Hope they serve great coffee wherever you are.

I only met Sarah for one evening but her kindness and warmth was so transparent. I loved chatting to her and the way she spoke about her love for her daughters, as well as Dave did too, it was really touching. I have no doubt you would have been an inspiration to them and many others. I am so sorry to all of you for your loss, Sarah will resonate in you all in so many ways which is lovely. Sarah had vision, she had passion and above all she had love and compassion for her people and the community.
I am ever so grateful for her support & guidance, for our little chats in the office or across the Board table, and for the way she always held herself with grace, love and dignity.
The Kelston Community have indeed lost a great leader!
