Sandy FORTESCUE Obituary

FORTESCUE, Sandy (Sydney Gordon). 25 November 1928 - 28 November 2023. Devoted husband of Joyce, loving and much-loved father of Elizabeth, Helen, Andrew and Susan. Adored and adoring grandfather of Sam (Sarah), Charlotte, Lucinda and Juliette, Rebecca and Logan, Tom and Tessa, and great- grandfather of Harry, Eloise, Finlay, and Isabella. A tireless worker for his community, Dad was an enthusiastic gardener, golfer, tractor driver, and small craft sailor. A terrific handyman, Dad loved the outdoors, often bringing some of it inside. Our very grateful thanks to the staff of Summerset Rototuna (Hamilton), especially Billie and Shoshana. Sandy will be missed by family and friends. Stihl ever in our memories. In accordance with Sandy's wishes, his body has been donated to the University of Auckland Body Bequest Programme. A private family memorial has been held.
