I trust my comment will not seem inappropriate or untimely.. Sandy and Marshall were people in my life so long ago it seems extraordinary. I grew up on Te Tio Rd 60 years ago left NZ when I was 25 and travelled the world ... settling eventually in Canada. I worked my summers as a boy throwing hay for the Oliver Clam... Harvey, Marshall and Joe. I remember when Sandy came into Marshall´s life lol.. how the years fly by. I have never forgotten those summers on the hay gang I was so young and those guys pushed me to from a young boy to a young man.. we worked hard ... lessons that have served me well over the course of my life.
I am closing in on 70 myself and coming back to New Zealand at the end of the year and it occurred to me it might be worth stopping and saying hello... I see I´m to late for Sandy and Marshall and that is to bad but it doesn´t daunt my memories as distant as they might be.
Hand no idea who will recieve these comments but they are send with the utmost respect.
My email is [email protected] .. I´d appreciate hearing from anyone from the family if that was a reasonable request.

Hidden in her garden are taonga iti
Each with their own role
Each with their own story
Each with their own beauty
Some known to all and sundry
Some known to but a few
Our Sandy is a Taonga to all who knew her

I will always remember you as a happy, positive person with a huge, welcoming smile. You were such an integral part of my childhood it's hard to believe you're gone. You fought such a long battle bravely and you will be greatly missed.

Marshall and family, we were so sorry to hear of Sandy's passing, and are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad time.
She was a very sociable, helpful and organised lady who always seemed to welcome people with a cheerful smile and who willingly 'got stuck in' at Lions functions to help them run smoothly; nothing was too much trouble for her
