Samuelu Poutasi Obituary

POUTASI, Rev Samuelu Fa'apoi. M.N.Z.M, JP, born 17 September 1944, passed away peacefully on 21 September 2011. Dearly loved father of Catherine Poutasi and Evan Poata-Smith, Namouta Poutasi and Luke Ma'aloga, Markerita Poutasi and Stuart Duggan, Apinelu Poutasi and Bridget McKinley; and ex- husband of Karen Poutasi. Loved son of the late Laupule and Toala Poutasi (Fagali'i and Solosolo-Samoa). Treasured grandfather of Tumoana and Kataraina Poata, Luka and Leah Ma'aloga, and Sean and Ryan Duggan. Dearly loved brother of the late Malama and Toimoana (Samoa), Savaiinaea Leai (Auckland), Seufatu (Samoa), Tuileisu and Fili (USA), Tusiga Luafutu and Faiga Peniata (Australia). Uncle of Tagi Tutaia (Australia), Charaine (Turkey), Sherman (Auckland), Roy and Stacy (Invercargill), Laupule and Zippora Poutasi (Auckland) and all his nieces and nephews. The funeral will be on Saturday 24 September 2011, 10.30am - 11.30am Purewa Cemetery - All Saints Chapel, 100-102 St Johns Road, Meadowbank, Auckland, followed by burial. May God guide you and protect you Sam as you make your journey to the Spirit Realms. My condolences to your family for their loss, we ask that the Lord comfort them at this time and give them all, the courage to carry on without their father, grandfather, Uncle and brother. God's blessings be with all the family.
