SUKIAS, Samuel (Sam). Regt No. 7909686 Royal Armoured Corp WWII. Parnell Cricket Club. Auckland Cricket Association. NZ Cricket Umpires Association. On Wednesday October 2, 2013 passed away suddenly at his home. Dearly loved husband of Betty. Loving father and father-in-law of Michael and Ayu, James and Janet. Proud Grandfather of Philip, William and Luciano. Betty and family invite friends to attend a service of Remembrance for Sam which will be held at the Howick Funeral Home Chapel, 35 Wellington Street, Howick on Wednesday October 9 at 11am. Auckland Cricket Umpires and Scorers remembered Sam at our meeting on Monday evening. Sam has been our patron for a number of years.
Our thoughts are with the family as we remember Sam and his dedication to cricket and umpiring in particular.
