Samuel McCANN Obituary
Mc CANN, Samuel (Sam). Sam passed away peacefully with his loving family beside him on 7 December 2021, aged 79 years. Beloved husband of Bernadette. Cherished father of Brenda and Gavin, father- in-law of Andrew and Tammy. Loving grandfather of Lilly, Rose, Dash, Rebecca and Josh and fur family Winnie and Rawley. Remembered by family in Canada, and Northern Ireland. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Sam's life will be held at Our Lady, Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Picton Street, Howick on Saturday 11 December at 2:00pm. Due to Covid restrictions the Mass will be limited to those with a vaccine pass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and can be made online at bit.ly/mccann1112.

Bernadette, Brenda, Gavin and families. I was so sorry to learn of the passing of Sam. Ive been spending my time between Ireland and Australia with summer in each and i lost touch. I shouldn't have but i did and now i wish i hadn't. I loved Sam, he was a dear friend and someone i looked to for advice on many occasions. He was also the funniest guy i ever met. I was so luck to know him. you all were so luck to have him as your head of family. So sorry for your loss. Take care, Billy Baird
