Emma DiCenzo Obituary

Emma M. DiCenzo Derry Emma M. DiCenzo, 97, of Derry, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012. She was born Sept. 24, 1915, in Rocca Fulvione, Italy, a daughter of the late Philip and Vingenzo Bendenga Orazio. Emma was a member of St. Martin's Roman Catholic Church of New Derry and had worked at Latrobe Area Hospital as a nurse's aide retiring in 1977. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Santo DiCenzo; a daughter, Lenora M. "Dolly" Polo; and a son, Eugene J. DiCenzo. Emma is survived by two sons, Samuel E. DiCenzo (Joyce), of Madison, Village, Ohio, and Philip J. DiCenzo (Beverly), of Wilmington, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Sammy, Melissa, Angela, Michael, Deana, Bryan, David, Bobby and Tim; and several great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Third Ave., Derry, where a blessing service will be conducted at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Father Stephen C. West.
