Thoughts and prayers to Al, Trish & Nick. May you be comforted and blessed at this time of sorrow. Know that we love you all and pray for gentleness and peace. We will miss Aunty Sally. I remembering hearing her belting out "Blue Bayou" at the first Miss Samoa NZ Pageant...and from that point on I knew I needed to keep an eye on her because she would teach me a lesson on how to serve a community with sincerity and with love. Thank you for sharing her with us all. Aunty Sally - Ia manuia lou malaga. GOD BE WITH YOU till we meet again. Love from The Arp family (Taimalietane Sioloa Arp, Lillian Arp and Hermann Arp Jr.)

My first recollection of meeting Aunty Sally, was when I accompanied my parents to the first Miss Samoa NZ pageant which was held out at (I think) it was the Gateway Hotel here at Airport Oaks Mangere. There I first saw Aunty Sally belt out the song "Blue Bayou" as one of the interlude performances. It was her soulful swag, that made me want to sit up and watch what she did in and for the Samoan and Pacific Island community in NZ. I will never forget Aunty Sally and the lessons she taught me about what it means to "serve others". GOD BE WITH YOU UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.
