Ruth HUNTER Obituary

HUNTER, Ruth (nee Bachmann). On October 23, 2012, passed away peacefully aged 91 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Vic for 64 years. Loved mother and mother in law of Neil and Katie (America), Susan and Rodney (Australia) and Ross and Sherylle (Auckland). Loved grandma of Candice and Michael, Chris, Mark and Scott, Annelle and Dylan. Loved great grandma of Connor and McKenna. Always loved and never forgotten. A service for Ruth will be held at Wesley Methodist Church, 13th Avenue Tauranga on Wednesday 31st October at 1pm followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Communications to the Hunter family C/- PO Box 650 Tauranga 3140.

Don and I would like to say how sorry we to hear tha Bubbles, as she was known to us, has passed away. She and Vic were so kind when I stayed with them so many years ago and we kept in touch after that, so many lovely memories. I will always remember eating her 'grits' and not knowing if they were ment to have sand in them or not ! Also, her cupboard full of preserves and eating cucumber and vinegar to keep arthritis at bay. She was a true lady in every sense of the word,sadly missed. Please accept our deepest sympathy, Don and Samm Mackinnon and children (step grand daughter of Babs Bachmann), John Gilbert (ex husband of Anne Bachmann), Joanne Egan and her son Charlie ( step grand daughter of Babs Bachmann).
