Ruth BURNTON Obituary

BURNTON, Ruth (Marie-Ruth). 12th January 1933 - 18th February 2017. Died peacefully at home from cancer. Beloved wife of the late Tony (Gernot). Loved by her children, Jean, Nicholas and Christopher. Mother-in- law of Peter and Jacqueline, loving grandmother of Sarah, Kem, Joshua, Laura and Myfanwy and their partners, and step-grandmother to Nicolas and Camille. A special aunt to her nephews and their families. We would like to acknowledge all those who helped care for our mother, especially the exceptional care provided by her GP, Dr Sue Argent; along with the care of specialists Dr Rosalie Stephens and Dr Maria Pearse. Thanks to Arthur Keane and staff at Grace Joel Retirement Village for their kindness. Ruth's funeral service will be held in the All Saints Chapel, Purewa Crematorium, St Johns Road, Meadowbank on Thursday, February 23rd at 12 noon.
