Ruth BATT Obituary

I have known Ruth since 1988. She came as a temporary accounts person at the firm I was working for at the time. We stayed in touch after that when we found out we lived only a street away from each other. I always admired Ruth's positivity, independence. integrity, honesty, thoughtfulness and humour. Sadly in the last few years and as her health deteriorated I didn't see her so often. However after any visits I made to her I always came away inspired from her attitude to life and her selfless approach to living it. You were a very good person Ruth and I am fortunate for the privilege of knowing you.

I was a veterinary nurse at the vet clinic Ruth attended with her cats. She loved her cats dearly so we saw her fairly frequently, Ruth´s quirky sense of humour made her very memorable as a lovely client to deal with. She would bring us newspapers regularly and we always knew which were "Ruth´s papers" as they had all staples removed and were beautifully folded.
My condolences to Ruth´s family and friends, she was a gentle and kind person.

I knew Ruth over many years through my work as a vet nurse initially and then as a friend. She often looked after my cats and went above and beyond what was asked. You did indeed have a heart of gold, Ruth. Rest In Peace .
