Roy COX Obituary

COX, Roy. After a long and hard-fought battle, Roy finally conceded defeat (like most weeks for his beloved team, Queens Park Rangers) and passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospice, Ponsonby on 17 January, 2013. Much loved husband of Barbara and father of Michele, Tara, Craig and the late Bailey, and utterly adored Popsy of Trinity and Lawson. A celebration of his life will be held at Bill McKinlay Park, 3 Ireland Rd, Panmure on Tuesday 22 January at 2pm. Our thanks to the lovely staff at Mercy Hospice for their wonderful care of Roy in his last week.

Barbara and family, I metin the early 80's Roy when he worked for Manukau City centre and I worked in the toy shop.He was fun to have a chin-wag with and helped keep life in the mall 'normal'.He spoke of his family with passion and pride and would share stories of what the children were up to at school and, of course, in soccer!!Thank you Roy.
