In 2002 Ross and family bought Norfolk Lodge Rest Home in Waitara. Two of the original caregivers that he inherited are still there which says a lot about Ross. He has increased the size of the rest home, made sure that his staff were qualified and made sure that we passed all our audits.
We have always found Ross to be a quiet man, but we noticed how proud he was of the grandchildren when they arrived. He will certainly be missed by us at Norfolk Lodge, our thoughts and prayers are with Anne and family at this time. Anne Griffiths staff

Thank you Ross for allowing myself and my family to share a vision that you were very passionate about - caring for the Elderly. Your trusting nature and bubbly personality will be forever remembered. I am so grateful to have known you and appreciate all of the opportunities and initiatives that you have supported over the past years at Norfolk Lodge Rest Home. I would also like to send my condolences and love to Anne, the Children and Partners and grandchildren.

We will never forget you Ross, because it is impossible to ever forget someone who gave so much to remember. Wisdom, vision and inspiration was always in abundance in every conversation with you and your wonderful wife Anne. I have only fond and wonderful memories of great times and inspiring conversations. Your encouragement to keep striving for excellence is something that I will always be grateful for. Thank you for everything!
Our thoughts and aroha extend to Anne and your whnau at this very sad time. Ross you were definitely one of those very rare humans who we are so lucky to have known. Your genuine heart of gold, kind, gentle and caring nature and your awesome and authentic smile. You were always so grateful for any small thing that we could do to support but we are grateful to you for creating the space for us to enjoy some wonderful celebrations of life with the residents at Norfolk Lodge.
Great times at Norfolk Lodge, in Wellington and Auckland at Conferences and even a couple of chance meetings at the airport enjoying a beer between commutes home after meetings.
On behalf of my Kapahaka - Ng Purapura o Te Tai Hauuru, thank you Ross for giving us opportunities to perform at Norfolk Lodge and share stories and song. Thank you Ross and Anne for inspiring me in my own personal journey through life and for the aroha you and Anne have shown my family over the years.

DUNCAN, Ross William. The most incredible and devoted Father to Emma and Grandfather to Kayla. Together with Anne, he has given us the most magnificent childhood and upbringing. His kindness, compassion and care has meant we have had the most inspirational role model that will now lead us for our future years. Ross was committed to helping people and has touched the lives of many. We are so truly blessed to call this man our own. Our hearts will ache forever.
