Met Ross and Rosie several years ago on a Baltic Sea cruise and even though we live in Seattle Washington we have kept in regular contact with him. Such a great man whom we were privileged to have known

Ross was the chairman of the Auckland division of the national party when I first met him in the mid 1980s. Born to be leader. His right hand man John Norman Tremewan - my late brother in law and close friend - served him faithfully as divisional director and between them we were blessed with a strong organisation that knew how to lead. Both were instrumental in guiding me to make the enormous leap from a Detective Senior Sergeant Auckland CIB to the selected NP candidate for the Birkenhead Electorate and later MP. Ross and John - your advice and close counsel was critical to that outcome, and I will forever be grateful to you both.
Rest in peace. Ian Revell. Friend.

I'm deeply shocked and saddened by the news of Ross Armstrong's passing. He was not only my client but also a dear friend. Ross was the epitome of a gentleman, always cheerful and full of energy. His kindness knew no bounds, and he made it his mission to help everyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Ross.

Ross was the guiding hand from me to transfer from police inspector to Member of Parliament for Hobson.

Rosie
My condolences.
You and NZ have lost a pioneer in many ways: Far East Trading company but one.

When Ross was at the helm the National party was never lost at sea.
