Dear Audrey,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during the difficult and different days ahead.
I have fond memories of Ron.
Ron was full of life and fun and loved to tease. I was a young teenager when he used to wink at me when we met and I´d turn beetroot red!
He loved to have a laugh and was fun to be with.
Condolences to all the family.
Much love Judy and Grant

Ron was my best friend and we shared many a wild escapade together. The fun continued even when we shifted to the UK. One memorable occasion Ron and Audrey were staying in St Ives with us. We bought ourselves a Cornish pastie to eat on our way home. While Ron was taking his eye off the ball a pesky seagull swooped low under the umbrella Ron was holding, and whipped the pastie out from under his nose. How we did laugh. I think Ron repeated that story many times over the years and we laughed every time. Farewell my old mate. We will meet again one day. All our love to Audrey and the family.xxxx

What a privilege to have known Ron, and to have shared fellowship with him, also to join online in the celebration service at HCC. We extend our love and sympathy to Audrey and the family. May all know the Lord's nearness in the days ahead.

On behalf of Probus Heretaunga we would like to offer our sincere condolences on the passing of Ron.
We remember his time as a member of our club.
At our next meeting (Tuesday 13th September) we will have a minute´s silence in his memory.
I was unable to attend Ron´s funeral as I was self isolating, but followed it on live streaming.
A special man, who will be sorely missed.

Remembering a man of integrity, humour and love. As a teen I was hugely impressed when while visiting our church he consoled a young boy who had lost some money, while quietly exploring his pockets for a coin. This he then found on the ground and gave to the delighted boy. What a picture of love! It is something I have never forgotten. Blessings to you all in your loss. Jan

To Audrey and family, our condolences at this time. It has been a privilege to work alongside Ron at Heretaunga Chapel. He gave himself wholeheartedly to the work of the Lord in shepherding the congregation over so many decades. For us personally it is 43 years on August 25th since Ron married us on a cold, wet day in the first weekend of the school holidays. We are truly sorry not to be there with you all to celebrate his life.
Love & Blessings

Truly a Man of God who will be sorely missed by all who knew him! Not only was he my ( Dennis) Form 2//year 7 teacher at Te Marua School, but he was the Minister who married us in 1980. Ron was a caring, and compassionate, man, who wanted all who came into contact with him, to know about his Saviour. Our condolences to Audrey and the family.
