Last Monday my amazing poppa passed away! He's now in a wonderful place! He lived a long amazing life and throughout his life he had 5 lucky children and 8 lucky grandchildren who are very lucky to have him in there life and I was one of the lucky 8 grandchild to know him! Throughout the 16 years I knew my poppa he always used to send me jokes and that was something special we bonded over! Every time I spent time with him he would tell me jokes! Awe I have no idea why bad things happen to good people it's so sad! I miss you Poppa and I will love you forever! I will never ever forget you! Xxx Paige

Dear Poppa xx
I would just like to tell you how proud I am of you. Even though you had been struggling for years, you had not given up! You still sent me my birthday cards and lotto scratches as well as the rest of the family! I'm not angry at you for letting go now, I understand, you're a very strong man. You are a very special man to everyone poppa! Thank you Poppa for being here, ever since I was a bubba. I always have remembered when I was little you used to put me on your knee and bounce me up and down, that was always fun. Thank you for sending me cute little jokes that was always a laugh. Even though you lived further away from me and I never got to see you didn't mean I never cared about you or thought about you and doesn't mean I'll ever forget about you! I still love you and always will and I'll always remember the memories we shared. You've always been a comedian Poppa and I'll never forget that. I'll never forget the man you were, the times we had, the times you would come visit me and the family. I know you're in a better place now and you're not struggling. I'll never forget you poppa! Love you! We will meet again! x0x0x Brooke

To my Darling dad - Poppa Ron Simpson
While it is a very sad time - we are relieved you have gone to a wonderful place in peace - where no doubt you will be causing a stir! - with your wonderful philosophical thoughts, politics and puns - always fighting for the underdog - from your humble upbringing you had so much compassion and brought humour to all...and as you always said even in your sickness - "at least I still have my humour"....and when I would phone you...you would say "Thanks for your interest".....You did so well til the very end and we are so so grateful that you had Sean there with you - for you - and for us - and he made sure you knew we were there in spirit... ... we will continue to smile, laugh and think of you whenever one of your famous sayings comes to mind. May you rest in peace knowing you will never be forgotten...your jokes, your puns, your humour and your wiseness will live on with us all forever.
"Out into the afternoon light you have travelled on ahead in peace -but you will never be far away - For on the wings of memories something will always bring you back to me. A joke, a tune, a saying; we know forever with us you will always be"
Your ever loving daughter, Nicola, son in law Sam and grandchildren Daniel and Joshua XXXX

Much love to you, my gentle, wise, empathetic, humourous and great wordsmith Dad. We were very blessed
to have had you as our father. I honor the place in you, which was of love, of truth, of light and of peace. Always remembered and in my heart eternally - Megan xxx
