Ronald CHILD Obituary

CHILD, Ronald Bertram. This inspiring man passed away peacefully on September 20th, 2022 aged 101 years. Deeply loved father of Nadine, Lynley, Juliana and father-in-law of Ted. Cherished grandfather of Gareth, Andrew and Edward. Devoted great-grandfather of Finnegan and Olive. Our heartfelt appreciation to the Devonport community and RSA for their longstanding support. Special thanks to the Ward 3 staff, North Shore Hospital. The celebration of Rons life is to be held on Saturday October 8th at 12noon. Devonport Yacht Club, 25 King Edward Parade, Devonport.

Our beloved Ron is gone; yet at 101 well-lived years we can only marvel at such longevity and rejoice in such a wonderful life. He is the last of his generation in the Child whanau and has passed to we who remain such a rich legacy. Ron loved his wife, daughters, grandsons and also his wider family with its network of cousins. We were fortunate to help him celebrate his 100th birthday- and telegram from the Queen. Nga mihi aroha e te whanau.
