Ronald AVENELL Obituary

AVENELL, Ronald George. WO2 Ret. RNZIR. Ronald George Avenell, aged 89, passed away suddenly on February 18, 2025. Ronald, a respected Warrant Officer in the Royal New Zealand Army, was the beloved husband of Brenda (deceased) for 66 years and a devoted father to Paul and Michelle, Martin and Nim, Julie and Phil, Tracey and Sean. He was a proud grandfather and great- grandfather to nine grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. A commemoration of Ronald's life will be held at 11 am on February 20, 2025, at the Chapel at Waikumete Cemetery, 4128A Great North Road, Glen Eden. Ronald's legacy of courage, compassion, and commitment to family will endure in the hearts of those he touched.
