Dear Uncle Ron... What a wonderful, caring, sharing gentleman you were. The world will be a sadder place now you are no longer with us. But your brother and sister will be by your side, with Auntie Jean and Gavin. My fondest memories will be the birthday parties in Westhaven with the hangi to feed the many hungry mouths. I will also remember your kindness when I came to stay when studying. Not so sure the sherry pre dinner did much for my study post dinner... Those sherries were... Generous!

Thanks for everything you ever did for me. All the chats, the holidays spent with me. And of course all the building work. I know you are free and your spirit will continue to touch me, my wonderful family, and all the people you came in contact with. I'm so very proud of you and what you stood for. Sincere sympathy to all members of the Alexander family. I have great memories of conversations with Ron at family events that I have attended with Grant and Donna. With twinkling eyes and a ready smile, Ron was a great conversationalist.
