NEICH, Roger (Prof). Loved and loving husband of Limasene, father of Kay, son of Augustus and Kathleen, brother of Pam and the late Barrie Ryan, Gary and Joan. Uncle, cousin, friend and colleague to many. Alofa tele Dad. You'll be forever with us in worlds you helped us open up. Thanks for the skills, compassion and friendship of staff at Auckland Hospital, Mercy Hospice and the Cancer Society. A Service to celebrate Roger's life will be held at Manukau Memorial Gardens, 357 Puhinui Road, Papatoetoe Manukau City at 3.30pm on Friday, 1st October 2010. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mercy Hospice, PO Box 47693 Ponsonby, Auckland 1144 would be appreciated. All communications to the Neich family, c/- PO Box 56013, Dominion Road, Auckland 1446.

NEICH, Roger. Dad would never want to have people's beliefs for assumed for them. Equally, he was always moved by the love, fragility and humanity in the genuine ways people expressed themselves. If he came to his own funeral, Dad would be going with whatever flowed. He would want others to realise it is to comfort everyone, not strictly just on how he saw life himself. He'd be smiling, sometimes giggling, with a warm appreciation of all perspectives. Love, Kay.
