Roger MCELROY Obituary
MCELROY, Roger Ian. On 17 December 2022, peacefully at Murray Halberg Private Hospital. Loved son of the late Henry and Eileen. Much loved husband of Shona. Loving father of Brent, Mark (Pam), Guy (Stephanie), and Maria (Lee), and grandfather of Eloise, Sammy, Charlie and Angie. Loved by extended family and friend to many. A memorial service will be held at Grange Manor, 400 Dominion Road, Mt Eden, on Friday 20 January at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John's, Greenpeace or Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Roger was a valued, active, popular member of Ponsonby U3A. He was always willing to lend a hand to assist and always with a smile. Our sincere sympathies go to Shona and family.

Deirdre and I enjoyed Roger and Shona's company in Dublin initially and also in Christchurch subsequently. He was outstanding at ChCh Boys High in everything he did--the envy of many of his contemporaries including me.
