Roger HAMES Obituary

HAMES, Roger Wilson. Passed away peacefully on Friday 27 March 2026 with his beloved wife Maggie by his side. Devoted husband for 36 years. Adored Stepfather of Laura and Matthew and grandad to Pavel and Elsie. May he rest in peace. Our sincere thanks to the staff at Auckland City Hospital and Waimarie Private Hospital for their care, kindness and dedication. Appreciation also for Hato Hone St John Ambulance Service. A funeral to celebrate Roger's life will be held on Wednesday, 1 April at St Mark's Church, 95 Remuera Road, at 2pm.

HAMES, Roger Wilson. Passed peacefully, aged 95, at Waimarie Private Hospital on 27th March 2026. Loved husband of Jenny (deceased). Father and father-in-law of Stephanie and Laurie Mayne, grandfather of Felicity, and Charles, Carruthers, and great grandfather to Eloise, and George, Carruthers. May he rest in peace. Our sincere thanks go to the Waimarie team whose care and compassion have made his last several weeks peaceful and comfortable.

HAMES, Roger Wilson. Passed peacefully, aged 95, at Waimarie Private Hospital on 27th March 2026. Loved husband of Jenny (deceased). Father and father-in-law of Viv and Brett Logan, grandfather of Brittany and Matt Lawrence, and Nick Logan and Maria Ji, and great- grandfather to Edward and Matilda Lawrence. May he rest in peace. His last weeks were peaceful and comfortable, and we thank the wonderful staff at Waimarie for their dedication, kindness and compassion.
