Rodney PEES Obituary

Rod was my room mate at Auckland hospital. He made my treatment much less stressful. Always had a joke and some fun stories. I will shave my hair for him, thinking of him riding a bike, one of his good memories. (https://shaveforacure.co.nz). Love you mate. Rest in peace. Raf

We met Rod in May on the eleventh floor of Auckland City Hospital where he was in the same room as our son Rafael and at the first moment we realized how special he was because every time we met him he always gave kindly and generous wisdom. Fortunately our son Rafael recovered and left the hospital in October and now he is living well with his family in Half Moon Bay. In November my wife and I returned to our country Brazil where we live but we will always remember with a lot of affection from the Rod. We very much believe that Rod helped a lot in the recovery of our son Rafael. Yesterday we were very sad to receive the news of Rod's passing. We want to send our deep condolences to Rod's family, and we hope that Rod will now be in a quiet and peaceful place and resting in peace. Att Dora and Pedro Guetter
