Rodney MITCHELL Obituary

MITCHELL, Rodney Keith (Rod). Passed away peacefully on December 30th 2020 with family by his side. Dearest husband of Pleas. Loving and caring father of Brenda (Melbourne), Josie (Perth) and Carolyn (Taupo). Great friend of Nic, Michael and Stephen. The bestest, fun, loving and mentor grandfather to Meg and Blake; Samantha and Brett; Darren, Keith, Scott and their partners. Special friend and brother in- law of Christine and Bob (Albury) and Merle Pettitt(Ohaupo). Many thanks to Dr Peter Harrison for his care and friendship for many years, also Dr Baird and the staff at Aparangi for making Rod's final days comfortable. Thanks to Waikato Hospital. Rest in Peace my darling. No more pain, your long struggle is over. Love you forever. A private cremation has taken place, a memorial will be held at a later date to be advised. All communications to the Mitchell Family C/- P O Box 147, Huntly 3740.

I have always had you both in my memory growing up in Te Hoe on the farm, you mrs mitchell were my go to other mother, i loved you and mr mitchell dearly! I remember coming to your house quite alot and you would always include me, and take me with you to swimming and golf. Love to you now! Xxxxx

So sorry for your loss. We are thinking of you during this sad time. We always enjoyed time spent with your family in our younger years at Ohinewai & Te Hoe and although I haven't seen Rod for many years, I always remember him as a wonderfully kind and caring man.
