Rodger GIBB Obituary

GIBB, Rodger Allan. We are heartbroken to announce that Rodger passed away unexpectantly early on Saturday morning 24 May 2025. Rodger lived a vibrant and joyful life with his happy- go-lucky nature, filled with lots of love, laughter, and terrible dad jokes. Rodger was the dearly beloved partner of Ingrid, son of Albert and Jennifer Gibb, brother of Judy, Allison and Diane, cherished father and father-in- law of Kimberley and Nadir, Christopher and Adeeba, and grandfather of Amelia. Dearly loved uncle of Renee and Sam, Tony and Sarah, Thomas and Ruby, Alex and Maddie, Sierra, and great uncle of Charlie and Elsie, Lockie and Lincoln. We will be celebrating Rodger's journey with close friends and family in Stanmore Bay, Auckland, by private invitation. Rodger will be greatly missed by his loving family, close friends and will remain in all our hearts forever.

Rodger had a way of making everyone feel at ease. His laugh was infectious, and his sense of humour could brighten even the darkest day. Memories of happy times, and having Xmas 2023 together ...

I would like to send my sincere condolences to Ingrid and the family of Rodger. Rodger was a good friend to my parents, and most recently supported dad through his own bereavement. Rodger certainly loved a good long conversation and a wee dram of rum! May he rest in peace, and I pray the family, and Ingrid cherish all the happy memories and hold his memory close.

Rodger was my partner in crime for many years at Kingston Morrison and then SKM. We had some great times and laughed at our own jokes more than most. Our Christmas Party antics were legendary, his Jake to my Elwood means he will forever be my Blues Brother!

He will be sorely missed by many.
