Robin RAINES Obituary

RAINES, Robin Alan. Peacefully at Arohanui Hospice in Palmerston North on 9 August 2017 aged 65 years. Dearly loved son of the late William and Sarah Raines. Loved brother and brother-in- law of Donald and Rita, Allison, and Ray, loved father and father- in-law of Amber and Paul. Grandfather of Jack, Lily, Jemma and uncle of Gareth and Antonia, Great Uncle of Alicia and Aaliyah. Thank you to the Doctors, nurses and staff at Arohanui Hospice. Its a sad time to find out a dear friend has passed away in his middle years, My thoughts go out to family and friends who will miss this man who was full of life and a little mischief For me Rob was my best friend from 1956 when we first started Cockle Bay primary school together until we lost contact around 1991.We grew up together sharing our bikes & cars which we drove like bloody idiots in our teens and twenties. We lived life to the limit along some other good friends.
We remember the good times we had together, like the Cascade Bar at the Royal International Hotel, Wednesday night with the boys and Saturday night with the girls.
We will miss you Rob, rest in peace...

RAINES, Rob. Passed away at Arohanui Hospice, 9 August 2017. Having been a part of our team for 10 years, and a customer favourite, he will be sadly missed and not forgotten by his workmates at Mahia Timber ITM. Our thoughts are with Allison, Ray, Amber and family.
