Petreece and family, I am sorry for your loss. Bob was a 'people person' and such a gentleman. He very quickly became a favourite of the TRG and ABC family. What a big gap in your lives. My condolences to you all.

Will miss your banter, sense of humour and friendship over many years, both through work and more recently as one of the `Fab 5´ and the 76 club! Lots of memories and great laughs!
Will be very much missed!

My condolences to the family and friends of a remarkable man who left a lasting and hugely positive impression on me. My thoughts below are as posted on Linked In....
This is what legacy looks like. A wonderful and successful CV - yes, many jobs and roles superbly filled - yes, a life of service to a sporting community - yes.
But in these sad moments the comments on this and other posts of Bob Patterson's sad passing are full of fond recollections of Bob the human, Bob the mentor, Bob the leader who cared passionately for his work, his much loved game of football, and most importantly someone who cared for the people he worked with, for and alongside.
Base every decision you make on strong values, treat people with respect regardless of their station, always be 'above the line' in your dealings with others, show empathy and listen to their views - including your 'opposition' on the pitch or the boardroom, bring a sense of calm during times of stress and adversity, and just put people first along your journey.
Do all of this and great success will follow, and a great number of people will follow your example, as they did and will continue to do with Bob.
A lesson for all of us, even after you have gone. Thanks Bob.
