ODDY, Robert Arthur (Bob). RAF WWII. Passed away peacefully at Auckland Hospital on 10 January 2011 aged 89 years. For almost 62 continuous years, Bob has been the cherished and loved husband of Eileen. A loving father of Robert Jr and Christopher, and father-in-law of Leigh and Rachel, Bob has also been the treasured Poppa and special friend to Freya, Kane, Sean, Trent and Victoria. Bob was the brother of Fred (deceased), Charlie and Eileen plus uncle to Christine, Jacqueline, Brian, Tony, Linda, Graeme and Carol. Bob will be missed but his free spirit will continue to soar around us forever. A service for Bob will be held at Grange Manor, 400 Dominion Road (cnr of Grange and Dominion Roads), Mt Eden on Thursday 13 January 2011 at 12.30pm today. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at Auckland City Hospital for their incredible care and compassion towards Bob, especially Jay and Ofa in Ward 66 and Elaine in Resus.
