Robert NELL Obituary

Our thoughts, prayers and warmest hugs go out to all of Mac's family and friends, especially those in New Zealand. Mac was a warm, loving, generous, down-to-earth, compassionate person. We are so very blessed to have spent the time we did with him and the rest of the Nell family in New Zealand! He loved deeply and lived a full, adventurous life as witnessed by the stories and pictures he shared with us! We would have treasured more time with him, but his memories will last forever in our hearts. With deepest sympathy, Tim & Gwen Nell

I am sorry to hear that Mac has passed away.

I worked with him for many years in the Auckland Regional Authority's Drainage Design Office and its successors, which eventually became part of Watercare. Mac was always good to work with, helpful and friendly, and his designs were always reliable and well thought out, he had the right instincts to be a practical engineer. There are many parts of Auckland's infrastructure that metaphorically 'have his name on them'.
