So saddened that this strong, giving and smart character has completed his contributions to our lives. Loved his dry humour-loved his patient tolerance-positive certainty and assertiveness. I had such regret that I was unable to attend his funeral. Bob was encouraging and positively supportive, made my voluntary work easy and purposeful, while he was the Chairman of our (inaugural) South Auckland ESOL Home Tutor Committee and I was the Secretary of that Committee. I last met him some years back-still adding to an already very full CV of attributes-doing a celebrant course-still looking the same-NZ Kenny Rogers I called him! Thanks Bob for your input to widening my world and increasing my skills as you did with so many people in so many walks of life. Your life and work well done!
