Betty GREEN Obituary

GREEN, Betty Margaret (nee Rushin). Of Palmerston North. On Tuesday 11th May 2021 passed away peacefully after a short illness. Aged 83 years. Loved partner of Barry Jones. Wife of the late Eric Green. Mother of Bryan, David and Mary, Linda and Craig Le Quesne. White Nana to Hannah and Connor. As per Betty's request a Private Cremation has been held. A celebration of Betty's life will be held on Monday 17th May 2021 at 12.00pm at the Palmerston North Cosmopolitan Club, 22 Linton Street Palmerston North. In lieu of flowers donations in Betty's memory can be made direct to the St John Ambulance. All messages to the Green Family c/- PO Box 5191 Palmerston North 4441.

Sadly we have read this afternoon of Betty's passing; too late to join in the celebration of her life at the Cossie Club, To Barry, (also David and Linda whom I taught at Freyberg), I extend my sincere sympathy! Christine and I remember the many happy times and catch up' conversations we have had at the Club over many years!

I have very special memories of Betty and Eric from my time at Palmerston North Teachers College. When they knew I was unhappy where I was boarding they invited me to move in with them. Time spent with them was really great. They really were true friends.
