Bob was a legend at PABX in the late 70´s early 80´s when I was there (from memory). One of the `seniors´ there that made an impression on a young tech.

I had just been thinking about Bob In the last couple of weeks.
I worked for and with him for quite a few years at PABX installation. Was his acting 2ic at the time I left for Tauranga and we had a great working relationship. Many great laughs were had with him and the team in those days. He had a good relationship with our then supervising tech the late Bill Kelly and was certainly left to run the cutter as he saw fit. I certainly enjoyed my time working with him and what we achieved. I remember doing a job over a weekend on my own for a large firm having problems which don't require going into but Bob was on eggshells all weekend and I had a great laugh on the Monday morning at the worried look on his face until he was assured all was well.

Sorry to hear Bob has left us. As I was a Post Office Transmission chap when we did cross roads,
he was a chap whose company I enjoyed. RIP
