LaFountaine, Robert D. December 31, 2010 age 80. Beloved father of Bob, Brent (Susan), Maurice (Cheryl), Michael, and Sean (Katie). Dear brother of Chuck LaFountaine. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Bob's attributes in sports was well known while attending Lincoln Park High School and throughout the downriver area and continued on through the years. Bob excelled in baseball, golden glove boxing and later playing semi-pro football with the Oakwood Blue Jackets.Visitation Monday from 1:30-9pm at the Allen Park Chapel of Voran Funeral Home 5900 Allen Rd. Funeral Tuesday 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery (Flat Rock).

Sean and Family,

My deepest sympathies, and prayers. I so enjoyed caring for Robert while he was at Medilodge, our long walks,talks, & the island night dances on the patio when he was able this summer, gave me so much insight into Robert before Medilodge, and the man his family grew up with!
I was honored and saddened that I was the one caring for him the day he passed, I will miss him , so I can only imagine the sense of loss you are feeling, my love and prayers will be forever with you!
