Robert GASKINS Obituary

December 7, 1928 ~ August 14, 2012

Bob passed away August 14th at Echo Village with his wife Etta, by his side.

He was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by his loving wife of 55 years and his sister, Thelma Hornby and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was born in Vancouver, coming to Vancouver Island to work for the Department of Fisheries in Victoria, later coming to Port Alberni to work on the "Comox Post". Here he met Etta, the love of his life. Bob then started at Ward's Cleaners, working on the delivery van.

Bob was an active person, both in the Odd Fellows Fraternity and the Sunshine Club; he enjoyed carpet, lawn bowling and playing cribbage.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 24, 2012, at 3531 Frank Street, from 2pm to 4pm.
