It was my pleasure to know and work with Bob Elliott both in Adelaide and Auckland over many years. He was an outstanding paediatrician and researcher and a very good friend. His work with Mike Stirling (PhD0 led to a non-surgical approach to closing a patent ductus artiosus which was causing the newborn's heart to fail. His publications in diabetes mellitus and cysytic fibrosis were extensive. My condolences to Betsy and the children.

My condolences and special thoughts to Betsy and family. My last memory of Bob is when Betsy and Bob came for dinner many years ago. An amazing evening which is held close in my heart.
