Dear Wendy, Matthew Stuart and Hamish.

Like so many we have found memories of Rob and you all during our summer holidays at Whangapoaoa. He was a kind man and generous with his time. You have lost a treasure, but I know the memories of him will live on with you, as it will for many of us, keeping things bright within our minds.

Best mate and step brother of our late father John. The bush runs from Whangapoua to Kennedy Bay, weekend explorations of One Tree Hill on weekend breaks from boarding school and many farm and ocean adventures were always fondly recounted by Dad. Rob always had a warm smile for everyone and a keen observation of the world but it was his dry sense of humour and that twinkle in his eye that was loved and appreciated by all of us. Our deepest condolences to Wendy and the family love from the Parrs.
