Riripeti JOYCE Obituary

JOYCE, Riripeti Hera (nee Paki). Born October 30, 1935. Passed away on July 3, 2022. Peacefully and with great love, surrounded by 4 generations of her whanau, our Mother slipped through the Veil to a joyous reunion with her father Hemi Paki, her Mother NgatiHine Wade, her brothers and sisters, her grandparents and her awaiting tipuna. Riripeti Hera is the beloved eternal companion of Brian Joyce, whom she first saw as a15 year old, married at 19, and in whose arms she took her last breath aged 86. Married for 67 years, Riripeti Hera is the Matriarch of 6 children, 26 mokopuna and 42 mokopuna tuarua so far! Faithful to her Father in Heaven, to her covenants made in the temple, devoted to her husband whom she loves and honours, together they raised 5 daughters and 1 son in the same home on Settlement Road that they bought in 1959. Her first mokopuna arrived when she was 42 and they have been arriving ever since! Truly, her cup runneth over. Our Mother will rest at Papakura Marae on Hunua Road, Papakura until her service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Settlement Road, Papakura on Wednesday 6 July. Hakari at Papakura Marae will follow the service and then our Mother will await Resurrection Morning at Mangere Bridge St James' Wahitapu on Church Road.
