Rick STOCKLEY Obituary

So sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I send my deepest sympathy to Pat, Lara and Lisa.
I had the pleasure of working with Rick for many years and fondly remember the great experiences we had together. We did a lot of overseas business travel and I could not have wished to do it with anyone else. Rick was a lot of fun and some of the situations we got into kept us laughing together for many years.
Rick had three great loves... his girls, his sport and his music.
Rick had the ability to make long term relationships and did this with a number of our overseas suppliers.
Rest in peace Rick.

May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and the rain fall soft upon your back. And until we meet again Rick,may god hold you in the palm of his hand.

To dear Pat, Lara, Lisa & families, please accept our deepest and most sincere condolences with the loss of Rick. I cannot begin to know the loss you will be feeling but realise it is enormous. The reality for me is very hard to comprehend and complicated by Covid's no visit policy. I met Rick in about 1978 and was immediately set at ease in an environment that was quite foreign to me. Even though I was a contractor and outside the company proper, Rick allowed me the privilege of being part of the Marley family. This attitude towards me seemed to rub off on all the Marley staff. I was included in Marley's indoor cricket team, Christmas functions, games of golf etc. In addition to those outside events Rick encouraged my involvement in all Marley's major upgrades. This in itself was a true compliment. To top that off I was introduced to you, Pat and Lara, Lisa and Paula and their families. This is when our business relationship changed to a long standing friendship. He will be sadly missed by us all.

Rick, I didn't know you for very long but all three of your daughters told me some beautiful stories about you and I feel honoured to have met you.

Rick, you were always a gentleman, kind, honest, hard working , a fantastic husband , father, grandfather and friend. You have helped with Pat to create beautiful memories for your family . You have been a mentor to Mark and helped shape his career. You and Pat have welcomed us into your awesome family. We will always miss you but it’s because you were so special and we are grateful to have known and loved you. Blessings and love Michellexx

To Rick, you are a super cool human, amazing family man, great Dad, Big Rick and Poppa. Been an absolute pleasure spending moments and making memories with you over the years. Especially those Easter races in the backyard. Always a cuddle, cheeky grin and good chats about life. You will be missed. Fly high Rick!

Rick was a great husband to my sister Pat. I remember when he bought his first car and we called it POG from the license plate. Pat got mad at him at first because he sold the motorcycle.we all loved Rick and miss him very much.

My love and thoughts go out to you Lisa, Pat, Lara & families. Such a wonderful family man, I have many fond memories as a teenager at your house Lisa with your mum & dad. Your dad always made me feel part of the family. Am thinking of you and holding you in my heart. Big hugs to you all xxx

Julie remembers great times in Norfolk when Ricky was young and we both have great memories of being in NZ twice and Ricky coming to the UK for work and pleasure. The last visit with you Lara was really special. Dear Ricky you will be so much missed. Julie (cousin) and Barry Morris.

Dad, you will be so missed. From you I learned that we are all special that we can learn from every person we meet. You were a very special man and I consider myself very blessed that you were my Dad. You always encouraged me to do my best and made me believe I could be whatever I wanted. Mostly you made me feel loved and appreciated. Rest easy Dad. xx

Long-time, much-loved friend of Richard and Hilda Smith. Dearly loved uncle of Craig and Lyndsay. Your passing has left us with an almost unbearable sadness, Rick, but we also hold, in our hearts, a lifetime of happy memories from all the years we have known each other. Life for us, without you in it, won't ever be the same, but it was a privilege to have had you in our lives and to have been your friends. You will never be far from our thoughts.
