WILKS, Richard Leonard Floyd (Dick). NZ4215819 RNZAF On 8th August 2016, peacefully with family at his side, aged 92 years. Dearly loved husband of Dawn for 65 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Elizabeth and Chris Darlow, Richard and Diana, John and Jane. Much loved Grandpa Dick of Claire and Simon, Frances; Richard and Florencia, Sarah and Dan, George, Toni; Louis, Pearl, and Elliot. Great-grandfather of Tom, Charlie, and Hugh. "A man of great dignity and courage, now at peace" A celebration of Dick's life will be held at the North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Saturday 13th August at 10.30am, followed by a private interment. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Neurological Foundation, PO Box 110022 Auckland 1148 would be appreciated.

Dick Wilks, a real gentleman with high ethical business standards. A real pleasure doing business with him during the 70's when he elected to have Nissan vehicles assembled at Thames. A pleasure to have made his acquaintance . Rest in piece, Colin Buchanan

'Uncle Dick' was my Poppa's (Robert/Bob Griffith) best friend who he met during the war. I have grown up hearing of the great friendship they had and of their adventures and consider Dawn and Dick to be part of my family. It was only two months ago we were lucky to see him and Dawn on a trip to NZ and we're so glad we did. Such a great man to have known who will be missed. Love Nicola, Dave and Maia.x

WILKS, Richard Leonard Floyd (Dick). Respected and admired Life Member of the Employers and Manufacturers Association. Former Board Member and President of the NZ Employers Federation. He contributed enormously to the success of New Zealand business over many years. A true gentleman who will be remembed for his wise counsel which was always dispensed with dignity and understanding. Sincere condolences to his family from the Board and all at EMA.
