Richard WEST Obituary

WEST, Richard Calvin. On 23 December 2023 suddenly at his home. Much loved husband and best friend of Marilyn. A loved Uncle and friend. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Vincent de Paul's Catholic Church, Fenwick Avenue, Milford, on Monday 8 January 2024 at 11.30am followed by burial at North Shore Memorial Park Cemetery.

After Calvin died and the young women and policemen wrapped Calvin's body and placed it on the couch, I saw with my own eyes, the most profoundly important fact of life - that it is the spirit that is life, and it is the spirit that separates from the body when we pass on and it is the spirit that continues on. So many fond memories of my Uncle Calvin, he loved his nice cars and fine things. I especially remember the times spent building with him and my Dad (Leon) at the family home. Rest in Peace.
