Richard TREVITHICK Obituary

TREVITHICK, Richard John (Rick). Born 9th May 1942. Our brightest light dimmed on Friday 8th December 2023 when Richard (Rick) John Trevithick passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Beloved son of Margaret and Doug (both deceased), brothers Brian and Gerald (both deceased). Adored and cherished husband of Carol and the absolute best father to Dale and Murray, Sandra and Drew, Kim and Col, Nicky and Karl. Rockstar Grandad to Josh and Bee, Ben and Ruby, Adam, Emily, Brooke, Jarrad, Riley and Kennedy. Special Great Grandad to Cooper and Mia. Dad, you fought so very hard to stay but we take comfort in knowing your pain is now gone and you are already deeply missed. Your legacy lives on in us and rest assured the silver is safe. The night sky has gained a new star. A celebration of life to Richard will be held Wednesday 13th December, 2.30pm at Dils, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany. All communication direct to Dils.

It is with great sorrow that Takapuna Rugby Football Club farewells a true club stalwart. Rick was a legend in the club with his contribution as a player, premier team captain, under 21 coach, premier one manager and golden oldies tourist. Our sympathies to Sandra, Drew and Oscar and all of the extended family. RIP our friend.
