SMITH, Richard (Dick) Lyall. RNZAF 425406 WW2. Peacefully on Saturday 10 March 2012, aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of Lorna for nearly 65 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Paula and Barry Simmonds, Jacqui and Murray McCarroll, Richard and Chris, Geoff and Tricia. Loved and respected grandad of ten and great grandad of 7. A very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Tauranga Hospital who cared for dad so well. 'Soft landing Dad'. A funeral service for Dick will be held at Tauranga Park, 383 Pyes Pa Road, Tauranga, on Saturday 17 March at 1.30pm, followed by a private cremation.
